Violent crime does not go unnoticed in the quiet town of New Brunswick, New Jersey. New Brunswick is listed as one of the Top 10 Most Exciting Small Cities in the United States. Armed robbery of the pizza delivery man led to Parysh Wood’s arrest. He needed $100,000 bond to be free until his hearing in criminal court. On Nov. 30, 2012, the pizza was delivered to N building in a Quincy Circle apartment complex. A group of three young men held a handgun to the pizza delivery man’s head and demanded his money. The three men stole the pizza man’s money, his wallet, and the pizza before fleeing the scene.
Chief Raymond Hayducka praised his South Brunswick police investigators who did not give up until Pistol or P-gun, as he called himself, Parysh Wood was incarcerated in the Middlesex County Jail for the armed robberies of several pizza delivery drivers. On Oct 7, 2015, Parysh Wood, haunting the New Brunswick Apartments, fired three or four shots until the victim walked into Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with superficial gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital in a dark colored Honda while the shooter escaped to Neilsen Street. The identities of the victims and the shooter were not immediately released because multiple bullet casings were found at the scene of the crime.
The upscale New Brunswick Apartments, portrayed as spacious and pet friendly with one or two bedrooms, are minutes from New Jersey mass transit and interstates into and from Manhattan and New York City. The Rutgers University police are directly across the street from the apartment exit.
